Where there's a Will there's a way

Will Forsythe
Sam Lyons, Sunday, 7 February 2010

Will Forsythe kept his perfect season going today on the 2nd day of the PVC Evening Slalom by winning the K1M category.

Forsythe, an AIS and NSWIS scholarship holder, who is yet to be beaten in a race this season, took the win ahead of Frenchman Pierre Bouliard and Canadian John Hastings.

When quizzed about his achievements, Forsythe remained philosophical.

"The main goal for me is getting selected to the National Team" Forsythe says

"It is always nice to win races early in the season but I am hoping that I can build on my form and get some good results in the European Summer"

In other categories, C1W was won by Jessica Fox.

Denis Gargaud Chanut doubled up again to win both C1 and C2.

Corrina Kuhnle from Austria won the K1W with a much improved Rosalyn Lawrence in second place.

Lawrence was really happy with her dual second placings in the Kayak and the Canoe classes.

"I had a few penalties yesterday and it was great to have a clean run today" Lawrence says

"I am lookiing forward to the Oceania Open in a fortnight and hopefully I can go one better"

The Oceania Open is the next race on the Slalom circuit and it starts on 19 February at Penrith Whitewater Stadium.
