The 2012 Wildwater Championships will be held in Eildon, VIC
Thur 27/12/12 - Childowlah Rapid on the Murrumbidgee River. Training.
Fri 28/12/12 - Childowlah Rapid Sprint Selection race in the morning. Afternoon travel back to Mitta Mitta River below Dartmouth Dam.
Sat 29/12/12 - Training on the Mitta Mitta River
Sun 30/12/12 - Australian Classic Championships
Mon 31/12/12 - Rapid Sprint selection Race in the morning and Australian Classic Teams event in the afternoon.
Tues 01/01/13 - Leave Mitta Mitta and travel to Eildon
Wed 02/01/13 -Training at Eildon
Thur 03/01/13 -Australian Rapid Sprint Championships - Eildon. Australian Rapid Sprint Teams event in the afternoon.
Fri 04/01/13 - Practice
Sat 05/01/13 – Australian Schools Slalom Championships (Organised by the Slalom Committee)
Sun 06/01/13 – Australian Schools Slalom Championships (Organised by the Slalom Committee)
Mon 07/01/13 – Australian Schools Wildwater Downriver race (Organised by the Slalom Committee)
The above events excluding the schools championships will act as selection events for the senior team to be selected for world sprint championships to be held at Solkan Slovenia and World Cup races in Italy in June, 2013.
The events will also be used as selection events for the Australian Junior team. It should be noted that a recent publication in an ICF newsletter highlight that the Junior World Wildwater Championships that were to be held at Lofer in Austria have been cancelled.
Given that it is unclear that whether it will be rescheduled we will still proceed to select a Junior Australian Team notwithstanding that the team may not actually tour.
